Pick My Postcode Pick My Postcode

How Pick My Postcode works

We've created Pick My Postcode to be as fun and as simple to enter as possible. The rules below describe how to play. However, if you have any questions at all about how it works - or about the Pick My Postcode terms and conditions - do get in touch and we'll be happy to help!

  • 100% ad funded

You might be wondering how we can give away money for free. It's simple really. The ads, offers and surveys on the site pay for the lottery prizes that we give away every day. A bit like ads in a free newspaper. Our lottery is free and always will be!

  • What if I win?

If you're a lottery draw winner you'll see a ‘collect button'. Money is paid safely via PayPal but if you haven't got a PayPal account you will be guided to set one up to receive your money – it's simple and easy. If you don't want to sign up to PayPal we can make alternative payment arrangements.

  • What about shared postcodes?

If your postcode has already been registered by a family member or housemate, it's more likely to be drawn in the lottery (like names in a hat). Pick My Postcode winnings will be split between only those who have claimed.

  • How do I win?

To help win in our lottery draws, you can opt-in to receive a daily reminder to check the winning postcodes on the site before the next draw. If you miss your win, the prize money rolls over to the next winning postcode.

How to play

Simply by registering your Irish postcode (eircode) and an active email address, means that your postcode will automatically go into the pool of postcodes from which a selection of random postcodes are chosen every day.

  • You must be over 18 to play our lottery. If you are under 18 please ask an adult to play on your behalf.
  • Only postcodes that are registered by players will be drawn. So, there is always at least one eligible winner – there’s no danger of us choosing a postcode where nobody can win!
  • If the winner(s) fail to visit the site and collect their prize on the day their postcode is picked, then the prize pot is rolled into the next one. If you miss the time slot where your postcode is the winner, then you can’t claim your prize.
  • If the same postcode has been entered more than once (by different players) then the prize is equally shared between them (if the postcode is drawn).
  • The more players there are in a postcode the more chance that postcode will be drawn. For example, if there are 10 players in postcode A, and 1 player in postcode B, postcode A is 10 times more likely to be drawn.
  • Players can only register once. You can only have one postcode and one email registered at one time. If you move or change your email address you can click the ‘Change postcode/email’ link and change either of these. Anyone found breaking this rule will have their entry disabled without notice.
  • Once the lottery draw has been made, those who have already registered the drawn postcode are eligible to ‘Collect’. Registering a postcode after it has been drawn does not entitle you to collect for that draw.
  • To ‘Collect’ the player needs to visit the site and press the ‘Collect’ button before the next draw. This only appears if you are a winner, so if you’ve seen this button, congratulations – go and claim your prize now!
  • Once a player has ‘collected’, they have secured a proportion of the prize pot. The proportion they finally get depends on how many others from the winning postcode collect before the next draw.
  • Whenever there is a draw, those who have won and collected for the last draw will be notified of their winnings via email.
  • By ‘Player’ we mean someone who lives in Ireland and is fortunate enough to have home with an Irish postcode (eircode) and active email address.
  • Email reminders are provided to help you remember to check if you are a lottery winner. If they fail, or your email provider chooses to filter them into Spam/Junk folders then we are not liable for missed winnings.
  • In order to keep the site fair, and make sure real people are winning the money, we reserve the right to query certain entries. In particular, ‘role’ based email addresses (eg. info@company.com) or non-personal addresses (eg. company@hotmail.com) are likely to be queried if they are one of multiple entries from a single postcode. We ask that you avoid using such email addresses if you can.
  • We reserve the right to withold winnings if we cannot ascertain that the entry is legitimate. We may require proof of address.
  • We don’t want to bother you, so in order to reduce unwanted, and unopened emails, we will automatically cancel your daily lottery draw alerts if you have not visited the site for over a month.
  • We may temporarily remove entries that have not visited the site for over a week. These dormant entries will be reactivated the next time the user logs in either directly on the site, or via a reminder email, but will not be eligible to claim prizes drawn whilst dormant.
